Hampton PVC deck with Snug – Strathcarron

Project Brief:

Our client had an existing timber deck they needed replaced due to some rot. The high level deck was to be replaced using the same footprint as the existing deck but the client had an unused piece of ground low level they wanted to utilise. We designed a snug area that they could use if they wanted a little privacy in the garden. The deck had amazing views of the local loch.

Project Challenges:

Due to the undulating land and different heights, this was our main challenge. Getting all the different levels from the high-level deck to the snug meeting up to produce this spectacular deck. We gave the client a clear view of the loch from their living room by fitting tinted glass panels. This was to provide some privacy as well from overlooking neighbours.

The End Results!

As you can see in the final pictures, the deck transformed the back garden. We used our Hampton PVC Dolphin Grey boards to make the deck stand out from the house. The customer asked if we could fit brown foil posts to the white balustrades, as this would break up the whiteness and also pick up the brown doors and windows of the house, making them a feature. Changing the balustrades at the high level deck to tinted glass added that bit of class and style. Now our client can enjoy sitting out on the deck or in the snug for breakfast, lunch or dinner with an amazing view of the loch.
